Rochester May 26, 1887 July 12.
Dear Prof, Yours of April 12, from Dunidin has just come to hand. You seem to be doing well in the way of collecting and I hope all of your quickness will com through safely. Mr. Baker will write you about one J, the boxes you sent to J. Clements that is missing. The other one will doubtless be here before very long. We will write alone and see about shipping specimens to Dr. Hoost and will get them right off - you offered him bright models for $60. & $100. He will probably send the larger one, and Bone carvings for $30. We are </u very > busy now, and it is going to be a busy summer. I hope to be able to make San Francisco shipment next week. We may have to send some things to N.Y. by rail and also make another shipment later, but nearly everything will join in the first shipment. I have already written you that we are going to make a big display at Cincinatti and </u hope > to make big sale. The $1000. paid for mammoth will cover? The expense and the dispkay will be a feature of the meeting of the A.A.A.S. which meets in the Exposition building. If we do make a large sale at Cincinatti and you sell all the things we send you at Frisco at a good price it will be a good ending for the year. -Let us do it! I wrote yesterday to Gregory
