        I duly read your

favor 22nd ?. A very great pressure of

business has prevented my writing until to-day.

The Box from Oregon arrived about two months ago. I opened it as requested It is a Mountain Sheep, I wd. judge it to a Ewe, But the Box also Contains about a dozen Skeletons Some of them very Curious Skeletons. The back Charges Steamer Freight &c is 2.80 The box is in bad order & w have to be re-packed, but this w be a trifling Escpense It weighs about 40lbs Measure 2 feet 8 long --- 15 inches high 15 inches broad

       The Several Circular Photograph

of Mammoth &c all reached me Safely and for which receive my Sincere thanks.

       The financial outlook in this

City at the present time is bright Trade is altogether better than it has been for a long time past Prices of all descriptions of Merchandise are Every day advancing. We have had an abundant Harvest & the Price

of Grain has greatly enhanced.
