The Doctor dislikes to have me go
to Rochester so perhaps I had best undertake the work here. I think it would be well to delay issuing the Catalogue till say July, for the reason that you will be adding new species till the end of the collecting season and the cat. ought not to be issued till they are in. I can now get the copy all ready, and then Mr. Preston could add the new species before sending to the printer. Shall you arrange according to Coues' or the new Ridgway list ? The latter seems to be generally adopted. I enclose a list of catalogues, etc. which will be needed, and which I would like to have sent by express with some things which Mr. Preston will send me. I hope to get a few eggs myself during the spring, and shall try to secure the Prairie Dog skeletons which have so long been wanted.
