The casts from Bruccinni came in poor condition. The ^Assyrian^ column or obelisk about 7 ft high - is in two parts. The lower part was all right, but the upper was very badly broken - 50 or 60 pieces from 1/2 in to 6 in square, all having on them portions of figures and cunei form inscription. It will be almost impossible to put it in decent shape.
