Dear Prof. Ward,

  Since we last wrote you Prof. Hooper

has paid ($51.0. and int. amounting in all to $530.40) He expresses much regret that he has been obliged to keep you waiting so long.

  M.C.Z. has paid up for Elephant ($1104.-)

the July shipment amounted to $859.

  The extra expenses for Cincinnati' amounted

to $85. and Lee Ward allowed that amount extra. He comes up regularly once a week and looks about but seldom makes any comments. He is apparently trying hard to see where the trouble lies, but thus far I doubt if with much success, I certainly hope he may succeed and that the business may be made to pay - as it ought to do.

  You will receive with this, papers announcing

the death of Mr. L. A. Ward.

  Enclosed is summary for month and list

of amounts now due. The only sale of any size during July except M.C.Z. - was Prof. Jerome Allen $135. - I hope we may receive some orders soon. to make business a little more lively, I hope
