As I am away from home
your letter has only been forwarded to me this day. I shall be perfectly willing as I have intimated to you before, to do as you suggest, i.e. to assume the liability of purchases made and work done. I do not now know just the amount in full, but on your sending it to me will at once give you note and remit in time there may be due from Nick a date as you may deem fair to your interests. The matter will doubtless be relieved at an early day but as I told you I can not say just when. The prospects seem just now better than ever for my being able to carry out my plan of a Zoological Museum for Princeton
