Dear Prof. Ward,

Your letter of the 14th and two cards of the 15th reached me at Syracuse (where I spent last week) The skull of Sea Otter has come but the cocoon has not yet put in its appearance. Have sent Tryon's list (with draft for M. 100) to Blaschka, as it was not included in your order. Put proper postage on Hume's letter and mailed it after taking a copy. Have heard nothing as yet from Roger's and Co. Kanouse's brother has written nothing more about the Goat skins. Shall write him about them unless we hear from him soon. Did not order the Armadillo skins from Gerrard as Mr. Lucas said it was not wanted. Ordered two Sloth skeletons. Frank did not mention how much he paid Gerrard - should have paid £ 18-18-6.
