Dear Sir;

I have lately received from Alaska two skins of Rocky Mountain sheep, which I think were brought from Siberia. At any rate they exhibit in many respects striking differences from the common American species. These are for the most part in good mountable condition, expecting that one, the female, has had the skin of the head somewhat eaten. I beg that your will cause these specimens to be mounted in your best style, presuming that you can readily replace the deficient material. If it were possible to remove the crania from the skins, and keep separate, I should be glad to have you do so. This perhaps can best be effected
