Indian Museum, Calcutta, 14 April 1879 Dear Sir, I have the pleasure to acknowledge your letter of the 6 February written in France. I have also received the skin of Antilocapra [male] in exchange for the skin I returned to you and along with it came back for you two skins of [] and a [dried ] from Madras. I considered that the skin of the macaque was especially valuable as they were those of truly [fine] animals and that the [] was interesting for the locality and [] therefore that they did not meet with your approval. I can easily send []
