Dear Sir Your letter of Aapr 3 is at hand
will say in to your question about eggs in all probability can furnish you with some species Hummers I shall be unable to let you have any as I now have orders for 50 nest & set and of course ca not fill it. I enclose list of such as I can be sure to send and if any are wanted it will be best to send me your list of desiderata and as fast as I can get them will ship them by mail. but henceforth I will not be responsible for loss or damage in transit; I will pack everything in as safe a manner as it can be done all eggs or skins will leave my hand perfect my responsibility ends when Uncle Sams mail carriers take them in charge. there was 95c deducted from my bill on the last lot; I made a discount and paid the Postage myself; there to have nearly a dollar deducted left me with very little for my work and trouble; I can send you 1/2 dozen Western Warblers at 200 each not a cent lower will I sell to anyone have also
