ybg Hanover N. H. May 6 1873 Pof Ward Dear Sir

I have your note of ? inst. saying

that your assistant will reach here Saturday.. We do not understand your drawing of the pedestal & hence will probably be unable to do anything about getting it ready - & perhaps not even to order the lumber. I will however, go to another carpenter / and see if I can get additional light. It occurred to me, after writing, that you might regard it as interference with your business if I went forward with ^ any of^ it. details of the work to be performed. I conclude finally to do anything that seems desirable & (pre?) if it is a part of the work included in the estimate of cost of mounting Megathenum, that you will allow for it in the final bill. Truly yours C H Hitchcock
