ybg Tucson, Arizona August 23/83. Dear Sir, -

As Mr Scott was obliged to go

out of town immediately on his return I write at his request to say that he has looked over his bird skins and selected about four hundred which go to you, per Well's Fargoe's Express tomorrow. Will you kindly place a valuation upon them ? They were collected for the most part at Mineral Creek, Puial County, Arizona though there are several specimens from areas Labeled.

Mr Scott thinks that you may find a

purchaser in the Museum at Cambridge as it does not contain a collection of bizarre birds As soon as possible Mr Scott will send you some money he regrets that he was unable to complete the arrangements for doing so at once, as he expected when in New York.. /0. Mr. H. A. Ward. Very truly, Marian J. Scott
