Dear Prof Ward,

    Many thanks for your kind

invitation. Had the financial curve been the only one I should have come down before now. As it is I will come if I can do Vilar any good. I had posted my letter a trice before re- ceiving yours. Shall try to look him up today & if he has not seen the collection shall propose to come down with him.- Don't be afraid of my powers of talk- Pres .B - will also in Pilar & do what he can. Am not sanguine of success but have some hopes.
