nwh Rochester, N. Y., Sept 7th 188 3 Dear Prof:

       I enclose letter from D. M. Dewey.

The order which he enclosed and which he wished returned to him, read as follows "Lugate Hill, London. Aug. 24th/83 Mr. D M Dewey, Dear Sir: Please send me as under as soon as possible, charged at lowest export prices, per mail, and oblige, Yours Respectfully Tribner and Co. 1 Wards Natural History Bulletin Vol 2 No 3 and if there is any probability of its coming out at all regularly please pay sun^u^ to end of 1883." I returned order to DM Dewey and said that vol. 2 No 3 was not out yet, but would send him copy when out. As requested in Prof Spencer's letter which I enclose to you. I will make out a new bill, with the desired charges - I find no credit on his a/c of $40- I will make the bill out for all but the provisional list, waiting to hear from you before closing it. I sent Wm J Miller the price of mounted Flamingo and Blue Heron. Please let me know what you wish done with the bones from A. J. Cook,? over
