Dear Prof, Things are moving smoothly here. Your telegram asking to send on an eye for [illegible] was duly read but we could not tell what it meant and had it repeated. The answer coming [illegible]. So I have mailed you a llama eye as I could think of nothing else. That sounded in anyway like it [illegible] over to [illegible] Hall & Co. to see about [illegible] yesterday. Although we sent down grants [illegible] with order for N.Y. ones on Monday. We could not get them and will be unable to get the pedestal for the grant [illegible] before Tuesday as three men have a holiday today. Therefore, I cannot see but what it will be impossible to ship them before Thursday of next week. While the New York pedestal will not be finished for 12 days yet, there bringing the N.Y shipment about the 18th. I presume Mr. Ward wrote you the [illegible] left Wednesday by express and forwarded you the bills as you requested. I have packed all the additional
