       We rec'd to day from

LaPorte Iowa a box of bird and small mammel skins. The Walrus or Kodoo would not go into a car so they covered with tar paper and sent on a flat car. Australian lot is packed and Mr. Preston thinks the Penguin Wombat etc will be ready to ship tomorrow or day after. Sent wildcat skin to Southwick and Jenks to day Mr. Bailly says the cow will be about done this week. Cousin Frank says he has written you and spoke of my taking a short vacation. It looks as though we would be quiet when the Milwaukee lot is all sent. I send you Milwaukee list and keep one copy here. Truly yours, C. D. Chichester.
