nwh Aug 14 '74 Dear Ward -
Above I give a list of specimens
wanted. It foots up rather high, and I
have but $500. to expend between now and
next July, B and about $75. of that is
spoken for. But I hope to stave off other
things so as to pay you about $400. be-
fore July. The rest will have to go on.
Possibly I shall find it unwise or
impossible to remit more than half
the bill. I am hoping to find a ?
? who will present the Moose.
In that case, I can do better. As
the order is over $300. can I count on
the 5 per cent discount? I must insist
on all of specimens being kept in good order
till wanted out so carefully packed that
they will be received in as good condition
as I now see them. I shall probably
not send for them until October; and I
shall ask you to forward them by R R freight
Will see about the cases as soon
as I return - Aug 17.
