    Your favor of the 15th inst.

I find here on my return. With the continued depression in all business inte- rists, I have not been able to find friends of the Academy of Sciences, who could advance funds to make the purchase of the valuable casts left with us. We do not like to give them up, but fear we shall be obliged to, according to the terms of our agreement.
