       Since writing you about the

skeletons & my inability to pay for them, it has occur- -red to me that possibly I may dispose of some of them to Cope or the John Hopkins University, & shall offer them at whatever may be considered a fair rate beyond the cost of preparation. Would it be too much to ask for twice the cost of mounting? I am sure there are several species that are lacking in Cope's Collection that he may be willing to buy. I will let almost anything go in the series, for the sake of securing the means to pay the cost of preparation, as I can easily get more whenever they are specially needed.
