Montreal the 16 December 1873 Henri A. Ward-Esq. Rochester N.Y
Dear Sir, Your letter from the 11th is received, please don't sell. Your large female Original [moose] skin, that you're talking about without informing me (??), because if I can find a nice wood, I'll probably take it. Does she have skull, lower jaw et bone on the paws [legs?] ? At last, I suppose that she's perfectly ready to be stuffed [taxidermied?]. She would be worthless to me if not. If you receive a nice male wapiti [elk] write me immediately. Tell me the price. Idem for Ursus americanus and Canis occidentalis. Tell me the price. Courteous greetings
p.s: Do you have a nice Lepus glacialis skin? What price?
