Fort McPherson, Neb Novb 10th My dear Professor Ward I have just received several letters of yours and hasten to thank you for them. I was after all as you now know obliged to give up the Yellowstone and all the country I am determined to do it however one day I hope I shall succeed next year my plans are a little uncertain I am divided in opinion between Fort sill and through the Texas finishing with Florida or New Mexico I have an invitation to go to Fort Union and something to Fort Stanton and so on into Texas but I fear the trip would take a long time I should very much
