Ft. McPherson Neb. Oct 13th Dear Professor Ward I send you by express today a fine antelope head which please prepare for me. I think that this time it might be better not to mount them on shields The wood is heavy & adds very much to the freight charges I yesterday received your letters of July 21st and August 4th & the bark on Moose painting to which I will read & return. I wrote to your Moose Hunter but never received an answer from them I have been obliged to put up the idea of Wostond fort this year I am going out for a 3 weeks
