    Your's of the 2nd is at hand.

I should think that the South American lists and the article on the Am. Mus. ought to be worth about $30. There is considerable work on the lists. The mere copying of several thousand names is quite a task when accuracy is desired, to say nothing of the fact that these were scattered through various books and had to be hunted up for the Mammals I went through at least </u fifteen > volumes and they form but a small portion of the whole. Should you, as I think you will agree with me that $30. is a fair price there is now due $18. Very truly yours, Fred. A. Lucas.
