Prof. H A Ward Dear Sir, Yours of 1 Oct is before me. I relied on a hunter B L Franks whose assertions of Knowing where he could find hundreds of antelopes within five miles of us - what he would surely bring us what we wanted "in a few days" made us </s sort > rely on him alone. He finally said that he could ^not^ find them as expected & has now gone East for a protracted stay.
After making Enquiries of other hunters
& offering to pay liberally for a Buck & Doe Skin - taken of as you direct, I still have no success, but shall pen even for say six weeks - or until they begin to shed their hair.
The Swift fox - or Kit fox as many call
them here are not common & are deemed valuable - The She writer knows nothing as to what they are worth. My son Howard had a very fine Skin given him by a hunter on the Buffalo
