Will a skin of a non marsupiale? ?, it is
this that which is luck a ? to me & I
believe hails from India, - the above is
about all I have at present - but I can only now
at the commencement of of my third lot
of specimens for you & I have the ?
? fir Wombat, and you may pretty well
depend on my felling some skins and
P K ? of that animal, during the ?
of my trips for Platypus - there is ?
now, anything to be got on your account
near home, here! I verily believe there are
more ? about, than animals
In consequence of notice received, ?
mentioned in your letters - Mr Oakman has written me to say that he had shipped per Maffra to my address 2 Drums of Lhiris corks ?. I believe the Maffra is now in the lakes. So I expect to get them in the course of a day or two - this assures me that for the future you intend this > of collecting to be conducted in a proper manner and I will attend to your written instructions as near as I possibly can he also tells me that you will probably get the last lot of Specimens about the end of September I e before you receive this letter well, you will find I have made no charge for anything placed in the Drum of Spirit, except Platypus - the fact is, I have not the least idea of what ought to be charged for such things. You must in a great measure decide this matter for me according to their value to you. we shall get at such things better as we proceed - But I must tell you that in the cases where you want no skins, or P K? of the animals whose Falus, is to be placed in ?, that animal, has to be hunted purposely
