       You are probably right as to the time

when the hall will be ready. In altering old buildings, there is more uncertainty in estimating time and expense than in putting up new ones; and in this part of the world we do not do things as ex- peitiously as with you; besides there may be unavoidable delays in getting the necessary lumber.

       We will attend to the Marine in-

surance in Richmond, and try to save you that much trouble at least.

       I intended you to keep Prof. Henry's letter.
