</u Howell> May '83 May 20 answer from 10,000 Annler. When I came from Pizon on me with things I got from him, and other things it took him to pack and one with your skeletons from Nemond, and one with </u Preuoria Antiquities > !! I did not think I could be led into buying any such thing but I ran across some good things so very cheap that I spent 300. franks mostly </u min > ornamental pots and a mummy. The trade I wrote you about with Deyrolle finally all fell through, when I came around to pay him he would not let me have most of the things the clerk had sold me - said they belonged to a collection that could not be broken The real reason I think was he sold them too cheap, so I got dis- posted and would take nothing - I had selected one ligomentey- pelvis for you. I will inclose Nemonds Bill and also Mills Mosting acct. I will straighten all this account matter out with you when I get home. It will be better if you do not give them to be entered until then. Moden Gosloff sends his compliments &: and Mille Morton says she is mad at you because you do not write to her. I have left money with her this evening to pay Bertrond so I leave no debts in Paris. As ever your Edwin E. Howell [ybg]
