feel pretty well satisfied with the business I did there. I bought nothing but what I knew the value of, and some of the things they evidently did not. Some things I got were not very cheap, but they were nice and we needed them. Mr. Sturtz received 1400 grams of the Alfianello Meteorite before I left Bonn, only a little of it had the crust on, He said it was non billed to him at 1000 franks and he seemed doubtful about accepting it. I am very sure I would not buy it at that rate. I have already written you that Joseph Rossi, Verolan- nova, Italy offered it to Mr Bregina for 500 & 400 live with & without crust. At Mr. Blotz today I saw a box containing an Ishthyvsourus already marked for Mr. Kunz. I think by the way we should have taken the topaz crystals he offered us, or at least half of them. I have seen but few thus far - all poor and very dear, we are fairly well supplied however without them As it is nearly midnight I think I had better get to bed. I go to Strasburg tomorrow and possibly on to Paris in the evening but more likely the next day. I shall hope to find letters from you all then. I have not recd. the April Bulletin Sincerely yours yet and you write me nothing about it I will write Moller to ship the boxes to Edwin E. Howell you and fix consoler invoices in the proper way according to your post instruction. [ybg]
