more than we need at present, but they are not bad property. I sold him meteorites oc. for 615 marks, from which we deducted 238 marks for the meteorites he sent us. I traded one slice of Cohohula iron for four large Solonhofer fish and a nice Scophites, besides this I selected of fossils </s no > the amount of 1506. marks </u net > and minerals net 394. Rocks 153. and four sets of wood crystal models 30. ^in^ each set at 20 marks each = 80. marks and some slides of fossils for 75 marks. I paid him 1000 marks, and am to send him a box - probably to balance acct. when I get back to Rochester, He of course does not want now the things he had written for before I came around. There is nothing specially remarkable in the things I got although there are a good many nice things and nothing but what is </u good >, I got a nice lot of Piedmont garnets very cheap - at about 1/3 the prices everyone else has them marked ( he got them in an old collection a while ago. I got some large good equrtins from Monte Bolsa. As these boxes will not reach Rochester long before I do I think it would be well to leave them until I come. I would like to see how they come through, how they are packed &c. I do not refer particularly to Mr. Sturtz - lot, but to all the shipments. I care less to see his lot opened than any other as I feel
