nwh JOSIAH CURTIS, GENESEO, N. Y. Jan 18 18 81 Mr Henry Ward,

       Dear Sir,

I wrote to you I think, a postal card, that I would like a position in your Museum. I am greatly interested in birds, and birds eggs. and I would like a position in that department concerning birds eggs and birds. I am twelve years old, and almost thirteen. I am the boy that came to your establishment, with a letter of introduction from Miss Matilda Piffard, not a great while ago, and if you wish any recomendations, you can find out from her, what .I am quite a friend of hers. If you cannot let me have a pos, in your place, I wish you would try and get me into a vacant place as soon as possible. Yours Truly. Jose P. Curtis Geneseo Liv Co N. Y.
