I have just measured a fine large
one, with big perfect teeth, which I have on hand. It measures 2 - 3 long
1 - 9 high 1 - 7 wide.
It has its occipital </s region > condyles^ chopped off, in severing from neck when killed. It is thus worth only $30. </s If >Without this defect it were worth $40. for it is unusually large & perfect.
</s Hippopotamus teeth > ^Elephants' tusks^ are worth $2.25 & $2.50
