Washington and Lee University, LEXINGTON, VA. 23 Dec. 1875 boxes several days ago, And hope it will reach you in good time. The Steam Ship Company have offered us half rates.
Prof. McCulloch has handed me
your letter to him of the 18th inst. Capt. Bouie made a search this morning for the missing boxes, but could not find any of them. And I am afraid they are gone beyond recovery. I am glad to infer from your letter that their loss is not material. Very truly yrs G. W. C. Lee
