Professor Ward,

  I have had a hard time

with three specimens I bought of you. I thought the way was perfectly clear, so did Dr. Landesdale, but it was opposed by some of the members and I thought they would not take them, but they did at last & I suppose the money is sent. I will try to send you the money for the other spec- imens immediately, before Jan 1. I am sorry you told Dr. L. I would not write to you. I did write - to say that just as soon as the money can be obtained it shall be sent. Yours truly,
