                I have been for two weeks

engaged in a spirited correspondence with Mr. Chatfield of the "New Eng- land Journal of Education," - in regard

to the set of casts of which he had

the disposal -, and the result is, we have secured them for our Academy. I have been talking with Prof J. D. Steele, (who formerly had charge of the department now under my cont- trol) - and he tells me he thinks we may be able to make some arrangement with you, whereby we need not duplicate some casts
