founded already. And it is our earnest desire to promote this study in the University. Indeed it was the idea as soon as Circumstances allowed to separate the subjects & have a Professor of each. A fine Cabinet would gain certain (?) this Department a complete success and thus add largely to the breadth of the Culture of our grand view. And the success here would not only tell through the youth education in the University - but would tell powerfully throughout the entire South from the past that the University of Virginia
