I am perfectly willing to say that I will have the $2000 Collected and deposited safely at interest in a few months. We have in fact a list of Riclunond Alumni with subscriptions for a Scholarship Covering nearly $2000 which the subscriber would readily divert to this purpose. But I shall not need this & only tell you of it to let you see that the $2000 is secure. I will proceed then. I will make my list of twenty men who ought to give the money, head the list myself & bring the others to time. - Judge Robertson one of Virginia's leading men is the President of the Miller Board, and has taken a warm interest in putting this matter through Our Board.
