I am in receipt of your
very kind letter of the 21st and thank you much for the service rendered me.
I should have been more explicit in
my last letter, and have said that I would like to make a display of mounted (stuffed) fishes, Reptiles & Bahochiens with perhaps, a few Seals and Sea-Lions from American sources at your approaching Fishery Exposition. I have but lately heard of this and I did not suppose that it would commence so so </u soon.≥ Now if I do anything it will require great haste on my part. Therefore I have just telegraphed you, and shall hope to hear your answer tomorrow, can I not have my space accorded me
