flooded with Petrefactious, although, they are not all perfect.
Has McClellan ever paid the Dollar. If not & you are at any expense
for me, please mention it in your letter (which I expect without
doubt), & I will uc compensate you. I will pay you for your trouble i
in minerals. The only persons I know of coming to Rochester at the
close of the term ^or in vacation^ are Cheny & perhaps Barstown Halsey of the freshman
class. Please hand the enclosed letter to Halsey. He can tell you whether
he stops in Roch. or not. How does the Nat. Hist. Soc. flourish?
Are their or the college catalogues issued yet? But I must
close. I hope Orton to hear from you before vacation if it is merely
to say that you have not forgotten me for here a I have been
absent nearly 4 months. I have not heard a word from you.
Please excuse all mistakes, as I have written in haste, to put in
the office to night.
Please give my respect to Forbes, Snow & Hyde
Yours truly
H. A. Ward
