justice to myself I wish to say. This is the
only letter I have ever received from you on
this subject. I answered that I could not
furnish the particulars desired. Since then I
have, carelessly I admit, allowed the matter
to rest without further attention, expecting that
a definite bill would at some time since be presented.
I hope my dear sir, you will believe
that I have had no intention of defrauding
you of your just dues, and that I have now
paid the bill very gladly.
