       P on R. M. S. S. Cathay.

I have forwarded a box to Mr Oakman, Melbourne for you

containing objects of Natural

History. I valued them at ten pounds L 10-0-0 but as there are duplicates amongst them I shall make an allowance. I did not send you any spirit Specimens this time as I had not enough to fill the can, and the winter being a bad time for drying Skins of Mammals.
