    During a very pleasant though brief visit

of Prof Ward to me, he handed me his circular. In looking over the paper, I find that there is a catalogue issued by you, of "casts of Fossils", illustrated with 284 Cuts. Supposing that this embraces the built </s or > up forms of the extinct animals, as well as minor objects, and separate bones of the large animals, I venture to send to you for it. If, besides, you may be able to suggest a best work illustrations of the supposed skeletons - or better still,- clad forms, I shall be obliged. For there must be some work ^showing^ </s which > ^the^ ingenuity of the present time in clothing the skeleton with which should have been its muscle, </s and > skin, hair, &e. Inclosed please find one dollar twenty five cents, the price of the Catalogue of "Casts of Fossils "- It can come to me by mail. Very truly Maun F. Valentine.
