PS ? I do not know what outfit will be allowed but I think it will cost me a good few friends to provide against contingencies any clothing used there will be spoiled forever & then I will require long boots oilskins or water proofs powder & shot also a few things of diet & that cannot be expected from a whalers allowance on the other hand my hours where I am now going to work will be from 8^?^ to 4 ^pm^ with half an hour for dinner that is 7 1/2 hours & my ? will be 8/ — loving forward from now I can not be sure of knowing whether everything will suit but I would like well enough to go I do not mind any extra danger or work if I would be sure of my family not being likely to suffer one thing if I do go I will do my best for you WS I will answer your letters at any time & should you not get an answer ^prompt^ you may be sure there is a delay WS
