ybg Charleston, S. C. 21st Feb 1880 Mr Lucas. Dear Sir I received a postal from Prof Ward on the eve of his departure for Europe in which he announced that he had put aside for me a pair of caribou and a pair of reindeer horns. I am not ready for you to forward these yet, as I have a male peacock here who will be in full plumage in a few weeks. I will have him killed then and his skin prepared and will send him on, with a stand, to be mounted. If you have good fresh skins of Peregrine Falcon ^male^ Broad winged Buz- zard ^male^, Black Hawk </s s> ^male^ and California Quail male & female you can put them aside for me and when the horns and pea- cock are sent they can be included
