When you have the Walrus heads stuffed charge the stuffers thereof to mount them in a manikin covered with clay, so as to facilitate the formation of the wrinkles, which are deep. The color of the skin is </u yellow >, almost ochre, the wrinkles being pale purplish, like a partly bleached old soaker's nose. The Yellow color both Dr. Bean & Elliot agree upon. By the by I find that Prof. Goode does not consider Elliot as a man of particularly accurate statements. I smiled at the result of my saying "lectures" to Prof Bickmore: he sat down immediately and gave </u me > one for an hour. How would it do to follow up the article on the Am. Mus. with others on M. C. Z. and U. S. W. M. ? Either the article on the Am. Mus. will be long or else there must be a second and additional article. Will write you next month about the proposed Ost. Cat. Very truly your's Fred A. Lucas
