ybg Washington, D. C. Oct 22/82. Dear Prof. Ward.

Your's of the 20th was by good

luck brought me to-day. Will do my best to give any suggestions relative to mammal skins, and also to write the desired article on bird skins, although do you think it needed ? Will also endeavor to get it to you promptly as I will do most anything for filthy lucre. Unhappily there is no store in my room and unless - as was promised - one is put in to-morrow it well tell against said article, an atmosphere of 60 degrees or less not being conducive to anything but profanity. Enclosed is Ost Shop article some parts of which suit me while others do not. There are a few lies scattered through it, but they are microscopic in character and relate to trivial details. For example a mouse skeleton has never been made at the establishment, but it </u could > be made, You may deem it best to put humming bird for Wren, it would sound better. Is it worth while to affix my initials to the article ? Do as you think best. Don't forget my Nature's Surgery please.
