will be a number of Bats - one each of the various species from Duke of York Group - sent on approval Hornaday is stuffing a nice Moufflon also to go on approval . And now to touch on a delicate subject. There are in the air rumors of coming changes in the Establishment and I do not wish to be left badly in the lurch if such should occur. Of course if there is to be a change my mother would not think of renting a house in R. and ^as^ such rental would take place within the next three weeks it is highly important for me to know at once.. Otherwise I would of course wait until your return when matters could be more leisurely discussed. The boxes from Melbourne sent to Mr Pickering seem to be fated to endure every manner of delay that exists but I hope in a fortnight more to see them here; also the 23 boxes from Singapore. Very truly your's Frederick A. Lucas
