and two orders for, disarticulate skeletons. Five disarticulate skulls, one a la Beauchene and three disarticulate skeletons arrived this week from Trammond. The Beauchene skull is a little different from any yet received and probably more expensive. It has the jaw cut away to show roots of the teeth. It also shows the internal ear. [None? Nine?] of the skeletons are good enough for Phila., in fact, they are nothing extra in any respect. Hope that some of the Neapolitans will turn out well. A large number of anatomical models came in the same shipment from Ramme and fill up the gaps in that line. Am having De Kempeneer mount some Homo's so as to have them ready for the San Francisco exhibition and also for Cincinnati. Have not opened the Whale tank to see how it looks. It has been pretty well filled during the winter and froze over but once Hume's birds not along yet. Hope they will come soon for we shall need them before long. There is little to tell you for all seems to go on pretty well.

Very truly your's, Frederic A. Lucas
