Professor Henry Ward [?]. Rochester. N. Y.
Dear Sir. I have at the present time, on hand a splendid skeleton of (Black Fish). I dont remember the scientific name and hav'nt got the catalogue. This skeleton is only the flesh off but not-white-it is about 10 to 12 [fts?] in length- it is complete What price will you give for it- I shall send it to you. (50 cts per foot if very complete[this annotation in pencil may be from Ward?]) If you need anything from Florida write to me & let me know. I have at the present time-on hand- Audubonia occidentalis [Great blue heron]; male female adult or young in down and the egg. Platalea ajaja [Roseate spoonbill]; male female adult-young in down and the egg. Pandion carolinensis [osprey]. male female adult found in down & the egg. and some other good specimens. I am now in Florida since 4 months and think to remain till the first of July- I leave to-day for the Everglades- Write to me soon to Miami-(Dade County) via [?] Key west Fla.
