Dear Prof.

I have now recd. two letters

from Mr Bliss. He is enthusiastic, </u but > wants me to invest money from one to three hundred dollars or more. I enclose both letters. I must confess I was quite unprepared for a call of this kind, as I had thought he did all the advertising on his own account. I would be </u entirely > willing for him to advertise to his hearts content </u if > he will take his pay for it out of the proceeds of the lectures. But I doubt if he would do it. It seems to me that if he is so very confident of the success of the thing he ought to be willing to wait until the harvest comes in for his returns. I don't much like the look of it., but it may be all perfectly regular. In my letter to him I offered to put in $100. but he thinks it isn't half enough. I asked him what kind of an agreement he would be willing to make with me., & he ignored my question entirely
