Dear Professor,
Under 12 December I took liberty to ask you, whether you would incline to purchase a lot of Birds' skins etc. As I have now made up a list I send it you in case you might perhaps accept them. The Prices are so low, as for a Dealer; not of skins good (except the small ones from New Zealand, which always look bad), some very rare. I can only accept an offer of the whole, which at lowest rate I can sell for £4o.-. To an answer from you would reach me still in Europe I should feel obligated to get a line in reply, whether you like my offer or not. If so I could bring over the collect. with me.
Very truly yours
Dr. O Finsch
